This is a 6 week journey that will strengthen connections within the family through collaborative creative activities, mindfulness, Zen meditation, Movement meditation, support, compassion, and active listening in a safe space with a Holistic therapist.

When we work together your family will:

  • learn to speak, listen and share with support, guidelines and collaborative creative activities

  • have an intentional space for discussing family dynamics with a facilitator that is a Mum, loves to support others to have loving relationships with themselves and others, is a Holistic Creative Therapist, Intuitive Healer, an Intuitive Meditation Teacher, has a blue card, insurance AND has experience working with kids with language disorder, ASD, ADHD and kids affected by trauma, abuse & domestic violence for over 6 years

  • will incorporate different materials and modes of creation to stimulate, challenge and encourage active participation from all

  • have fun through sensory based experiences and quality time that is meaningful and expressive

  • Experience deeply calming and relaxing activities to relieve family stress and actively lowers the activation of heightened emotional reactions to family issues in the home by releasing the tension held in the body through healing arts

  • Make a Vision board to create a future vision of your family by your family

When we work together and start to collaborate as a family in Creative Therapy sessions you will experience positive changes in the dynamics of your family and a calmer home focused on solutions.

 

What your family gets in the weekly Creative Family package:

  1. Initial consultation (90 minutes) - An opportunity to meet with the Holistic Creative Therapist then together we will create a safe container for authentic listening, speaking and sharing as a family in the sessions. We will discuss the current family dynamics, the guidelines for sessions and expected outcomes whilst using the creative process to be present (mindful). We will also talk about any other additional details that you all feel are important in a timely manner. 
    Your family will create a “Family Talking Stick” that will be used throughout the sessions. This is an easy hands on collaborative creative activity.

  2. Consult (60 minutes) - An intended Space for Listening and Speaking to reconnect with the Holistic Creative Therapist and one another.
    Collaborative creative arts activity - Family Jigsaw puzzle - this activity asks members of the family to focus on their contribution to the family unit. Each member will share then we will connect the pieces together to view it as one artwork.

  3. Consult (60 minutes) - An intended Space for Listening and Speaking to reconnect with the Holistic Creative Therapist and one another.
    Music and Movement creative arts activity - this activity stimulates various emotions and memories for the family to share and connect with one another.

  4. Consult (60 minutes) - An intended Space for Listening and Speaking to reconnect with the Holistic Creative Therapist and one another.
    Fun and Laughs with Dough - this activity will encourage fun through making the dough mixture and creating from it (this is a messy and delightful session that encourages tactile expression with the malleable material.

  5. Consult (60 minutes) - An intended Space for Listening and Speaking to reconnect with the Holistic Creative Therapist and one another.
    Collaborative Creative Project - this will be planned based on the family movements in the previous sessions to re-enforce connection.

  6. Consult (60 minutes) - An intended Space for Listening and Speaking to reconnect with the Holistic Creative Therapist and one another.
    Vision Board Collaborative Creative activity - everyone is involved in created a future vision for the family.
